I was the licence holder and keeper of the 70cm UHF repeater GB3OV for 20 years (1990 to 2010) before moving to the south coast in 2010. I designed and constructed the PIC microcontroller control logic that managed the repeater during those two decades.

When travelling on holiday, I have operated Maritime Mobile from various cruise ships worldwide, including Fred Olsen's MS Braemar across European waters.

Awards and certificates earned when I used to enter international digital mode competitions in 2008, 2009, and 2012 (EU PSK DX Contest, European PSK Club WW DX Contest, and Queen's Jubilee GQ8LRS special callsign). I haven't entered any contests since 2012.
