I was the licence holder for the repeater GB3OV between 1990 and 2011 before I moved to the south coast. I designed and built the PIC based control logic which has survived for all those years.

GB3OV is a UHF Repeater serving the river Ouse valley in the counties of Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. It is sited close to th
e
village of Graveley approximately 40 meters above mean sea level. GB3OV is administered and paid for by the Huntingdonshire Amateur Radio Society. It is intended primarily to cover the four Great Ouse valley towns, of Huntingdon, Godmanchester, St. Ives and St. Neots, hence the callsign GB3OV. The Repeater gives good coverage North along the A1 to Peterborough, South along the A1 to Sandy, East along the A14 to Cambridge and West along the A14 to Thrapston. The Repeater has been in service since 24 November 1985. It operates on a single collinear antenna at the top of a 10 meter mast, using an old Tait 300 series base station.
